ЖОДНА ДИТИНА НЕ ПОВИННА ЗАЗНАВАТИ СТРАЖДАНЬ ВІЙНИ.
Діти – це ті, хто найбільше страждають від безвідповідальних дій дорослих. Ми, СОС Дитячі Містечка Україна, діючи і захищаючи дітей посеред масштабної кривавої війни, розуміємо це краще за будь-кого, і ми не можемо мовчати про інтереси дітей в Ізраїлі та Палестині, що можуть постраждати через воєнні дії.
Ми висловлюємо свої співчуття жертвам, засудження – тим, хто порушує права людини та права дитини зокрема в цьому конфлікті, та бажаємо витривалості і сил працівникам гуманітарних та соціальних організацій, які зараз захищають інтереси дітей посеред збройних конфліктів. Ми закликаємо до дотримання гуманітарного права та законів і звичаїв війни, дотримання прав дітей. Закликаємо сторони конфлікту та міжнародну спільноту забезпечити дітям ту саму підтримку – евакуацію, безпечний прихисток – які мали змогу отримати діти України. Якими б не були політичні симпатії та правові оцінки дій – гуманітарне право та моральні принципи захисту дітей мають превалювати над усім.
Ми впевнені, що працівники національних організацій, що входять у Міжнародну Федерацію СОС Дитячі Містечка, залишатимуться на своїх місцях і продовжуватимуть нести свій професійний обов’язок захисту дітей, як робимо це ми в Україні, і висловлюємо свою підтримку колегам. Наші думки та молитви – з дітьми, які страждають від війни.
NO CHILD SHOULD EVER HAVE TO BEAR WAR SUFFERING.
Children are the ones who suffer the most from the irresponsible actions of adults. We, SOS Children’s Villages Ukraine, acting and protecting children in the midst of a large-scale bloody war, understand this better than anyone, and we cannot remain silent about the interests of children in Israel and Palestine who may suffer because of hostilities.
We express our condolences to the victims, our condemnation to those who in this conflict violate human rights and children’s rights in particular, and wish endurance and strength to the workers of humanitarian and social organizations who are now protecting the interests of children in the midst of armed conflicts. We call for the observance of humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war, and the rights of children. We call on the parties to the conflict and the international community to provide children with the same support – evacuation, safe shelter – that children in Ukraine have been able to receive. Whatever the political sympathies and legal assessments of actions are, humanitarian law and moral principles of child protection must prevail.
We are confident that the staff of the national associations, which are members of SOS Children’s Villages Federation, will remain in their positions and continue to fulfill their professional duty to protect children, as we do in Ukraine, and we express our support to our colleagues. Our thoughts and prayers are with the children suffering from the war.
